INTRODUCTION : |
A “how to” summit that will give you a ring side view of how corporates have transformed their existing supply chain processes and structures to far more effective ones. Achieving in the process strategic competitive advantages relevant to their Businesses. Results: Higher Customer Satisfaction, Lower Costs, JIT a reality, faster cash cycles, quicker adaptation to changes in customer tastes and styles, expanded variety of offerings for effective customization, supply security and so on.
SCM transformation process first links the SCM to business strategy by targeting a set of KPIs (Key Process Indicators) that are critical to securing competitive advantage. Secondly the existing supply chain outputs are measured against the targeted KPIs to arrive at a Gap Analysis. Bridging the Supply Chain Transformation then follows specifying Processes, roles for partners both upward and downward, information flow system, decision making norms at the core company and at Partners. The core company often has to search far and wide in a global environment to spot the best partners for each activity of the value chain. The Process also involves selection of SCM software that eventually helps the inter firm integration stretching from the suppliers’ suppliers to the customers’ customers.
Integration and collaboration among different firms often located in different countries and cultures in the supply chain calls for the core company to invest in building relationship, transparency and trust. It is this human aspect of SCM integration skill that differentiates the best from the also rans. DMA
Founded in 1955, Delhi Management Association (DMA) is a premier professional body devoted to dissemination of the latest management principles and practices. It is a non-profit and autonomous entity which focuses on providing a wide range of services aimed at enhancing managerial effectiveness in a broad sphere of activities.
DMA is founded on the belief that, a good management achieves social objectives through the best use of materials, human energy and time and with satisfaction for the participants and the public. The present membership of DMA is about 200 institutional members and over 3000 individual members. These represent a select group of people and companies. DMA also administers awards to recognise innovative management practices and promote original writing on management by Indian authors. It publishes a quarterly journal, The Management Review, and bi-monthly Newsletter, ‘DMA News’.

Established in 1981 International Management Institute (IMI) is India’s first corporate-sponsored management school which specialises in executive education. It has four long term PGDM programs and a Fellowship Program. It has 40 full time faculty and 4000 alumni.
