Introducing the Award |
Out of every 100 organizations that aspire for quantum growth, less than 5 actually achieve it.
In spite of this statistic, the last decade has seen the emergence of true innovation in India - in the business and social world. It is possibly the beginning of an innovative India where we are beginning to challenge existing legacies; an innovative India where Indian entities of MNCs are becoming a springboard for innovation and aren't just clones of a distant parent; a changing India where social innovations are impacting education and poverty.
Many Indian Innovators have broken through the barriers created by past experiences, and are becoming lighthouses.
The time is now ripe for the innovative Indian to be recognized and feted. It is now time to identify and learn from the lighthouses.
It is with this intent that the Delhi Management Association (DMA) and Erehwon Innovation Consulting have partnered to introduce the DMA- Erehwon Innovation award for Innovative HR Initiatives.
Successful innovation isn't simply a matter of coming up with ideas. It's the ability to nurture those ideas, make them work, and bring them to market that distinguishes a truly innovative organisation.
Keeping this in mind, we will present the Innovations in HR Practices Awards to those who have taken an HR idea from concept to reality and have sustained results to show for their efforts.
The awards would be a vehicle to identify lighthouses within the HR industry and learn from them, with the aim to create and share new best practices. |
| |
Process: |
The process is a unique one, in terms of its completeness and depth of activities. The awards were launched on 19th October, 2007 and we have had a steady inflow of entries since then. The final date for the presentation of the Awards is 23rd May 2008, where a panel of Senior members of the corporate community would officiate. |
| |
| Evaluation Criteria |
Prior to the award ceremony, each entry would have been screened by 2 independent innovation consultants, deliberated by an HR Specialist Jury, been through an Innovation Audit (on site) and also deliberated by another jury of CEOs.
The entries, at each stage would be evaluated based upon the following criteria:
- Uniqueness

- Sustainability
